Herb Ormond has been a financial advisor for over 37 years, beginning his career in 1986. He spent most of his career (19 years) at A. G. Edwards & Sons as Branch Manager and Senior Vice President-Investments. In 2011 he founded the independent investment firm of H. L. Ormond & Company, LLC in Greenville NC. Herb’s focus is on investment strategies for a wide spectrum of clients with a primary emphasis on helping clients financially prepare for and then enjoy their retirement years. His 37+ years of experience help him provide the “Trusted Advice” that is so crucial to our clients’ investment experience.
Herb graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1984 with his degree in Business Administration. He has received a variety of honors and awards throughout his career including mentions in both Forbes and Barron’s.
A Greenville native, Herb is married to Martha-Duke Ormond. They have three married daughters, Rose, Catherine, and Anna, two cute grandchildren, and two adorable puppies. They enjoy spending time at Topsail Beach boating and water-skiing as well as attending UNC football and basketball games. They are involved in the life of their churches in Greenville and Topsail Beach.
