Raymond James welcomes California financial advisor managing approximately $135 million in assets

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor John Hutchinson, CFP®, to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm’s employee advisor channel – according to John Simmons, Western regional director for RJA.

Hutchinson Wealth Services of Raymond James is based in Walnut Creek, California, where Hutchinson is joined by client service associates Gina Jameson and Lisa Hutchinson. Together they provide personalized financial services to clients including families, individuals and those in or nearing retirement. He was previously affiliated with Stifel where he managed approximately $135 million in client assets.

“One of the biggest motivators in my transition was to find a firm with a technology environment that keeps pace with how the industry is evolving. Raymond James has done that, not just with digital tools, but with thoughtful integrations of emerging AI features that help me work more efficiently,” said Hutchinson. “In addition to the advanced technology platform, the support from firm leaders coupled with an emphasis on financial planning made this partnership a straightforward choice.”

As senior vice president of investments for the practice, Hutchinson holds nearly 30 years of financial services experience, most recently serving at Stifel since 2011. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, he is passionate about personalized service, ultimately developing a coaching style relationship with his clients. In addition to his experience and professional designation, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University at Long Beach.
